SCHOOL FACILITIES

Williston School District 29 (Williston 29) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide special inspection services for construction projects for Williston District 29 School Facilities. The Request for Qualifications is accessible on the District’s webpage at http://www.williston.k12.sc.us or you may email  [email protected] to request an electronic copy.

Interested Firms should submit their proposals to Williston School District 29, Attn: Dr. Marcella Heyward, Superintendent, 12255 Main Street, Williston, SC 29853. The deadline submitting proposals (via email) is March 24, 2022 at 4:00 pm. All questions should be directed to Ms. Rose Anderson at [email protected].  No other person connected in any way with Williston County Schools should be contacted regarding this solicitation.

This request for proposal is being issued pursuant to the procurement code applicable to Williston District 29. Williston District 29 will negotiate a contract with the highest qualified firm. Williston District 29 reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and shall not be liable for any costs incurred by individuals or firms participating in this solicitation. Williston District reserves the right to amend or cancel the solicitation at any time prior to execution of a contract for services and reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities

Williston 29 is seeking an OSF qualified Special Inspection frim to provide special inspection services for their 2022 Renovation projects. To compete in the selection, you must submit your proposal to Williston School District no later than 4:00 PM, March 24, 2022. Your submission must include all information requested in this RFP.

II. PROJECT INFORMATION

•  Description of Project and Scope of Services

III.  INFORMATION TO BE PROVIDED

• Provide brief description of the firm, staff qualifications, services provided and experience with providing Special Inspections for projects involving OSF and State Fire Marshal’s office.

• Provide list of Districts/Projects that the Firm has provided Special Inspection services for OSF projects over the last 5 years.

• Provide references for 3 Districts were the Firm has provided Special Inspection Services for OSF projects

• Provide a summary of how services are to be provided and the fees are to be charged for services.

1. 1. Services Coordination with Contactor and Architect
   2. Reporting process
   3. If travel/trip fees are billed, provide cost for services to Williston
   4. How are home office costs billed, if separate from field work
   5. Process for scheduling services and response times

• Provide a current fee schedule for services typically provided for Construction project under OSF review.

IV.  SUBMITTAL OF PROPOSALS

            WSD will review the proposal and select the firm that provides the best value and level of service required for their projects based on the proposals received

The selection criteria will be:

1. 1. Experience of project team members
   2. Experience of the Firm
   3. Services approach
   4. Fee Schedule
