At the March 16, 2021 board meeting, the WSD29 Board of Trustees approved the recommendation from Superintendent Dr. Marcella Shaw to implement a five day, in-person instruction plan beginning April 12, 2021. To this end, CD-4 - 12th graders will be in school five days a week for the remainder of the school year. CD4-2nd graders will now have full day, in-person instruction.
The option of 100 percent virtual via the WSD29 Virtual Academy will still be available for the remainder of the year.
Additionally, Thursday, April 1st will be a virtual learning day for all scholars so that faculty and staff may receive their second vaccination shot.
The district will continue to follow CDC and SCDHEC guidelines, where applicable, and will continue to monitor disease activity.
